Quite right, Mindfood is lusting after a Siggada killim for Christmas, lets hope Santa doesn’t disappoint!
Katie Lockhart, a very talented stylist (amongst other things) from Auckland, has featured in CASE DA ARBITARE. We are simply thrilled to have our pieces involved and we think she’s done a stunning job. Although the magazine is Italian (and I can’t read it), I can tell you its a beautifully crafted magazine, and well worth perusing!
Incase you have been standing in the supermarket queue and wondered just where you would be able to find a magnificent kilim such as that featured on the front cover of this months YH&G look no further. You are in luck as this is one of ours. A Kuba Kilim it is 3.2 x 1.7 metres. Its between 80-100 years old. So rare and precious, and retails for $2950.
We had some fun playing with our Moroccan pieces over at our fabulously stylish neighbors Monique and Josephs place. Many thanks to them for being so generous with their space and time (Joseph was our photographer). We knew that kilims and adobe certainly go hand-in-hand. What I think is fabulous is having these pieces outside, to really create that ‘outdoor room’ scenario. Where you can throw down a few rugs, get some seating placed (whether it be bean bags, designer chairs or a cluster of kilim cushions) and have yourself a very special space to entertain in considerable comfort….
Courteney Peters from gather&hunt has written apiece on us. We love her work and what g&h are about. Connecting and informing us to whats going on in our neighborhood. g&h is a one-stop shop for the lover of good food, good service and good retail experiences. g&h are a dedicated bunch and we know they’ll go far.

A big thanks to Domo who generously loaned pieces from their Ligne Roset and Grange collections of which we teamed up with our kilims.
Our objective was to showcase how traditional kilims can enhance/work well with contemporary pieces and create a colorful and texture rich environment. Overall a fresh and ‘on trend’ look.
A big thanks also to the stylists who came along to view our pieces and initiate what we hope will be long lasting relationships.
Today marks one month we have been open. Small milestones = happy times
