Welcome to Siggada – a kilim and textile business set in Lisa Reid’s private home in GreyLynn.
Siggadas aim is to encourage a new generation in appreciating kilim pieces as they add colour and texture to homes. As each piece is completely unique, Siggada inspires clients with confidence to add personality to their interiors in contemporary, practical and creative ways. As the trend of exposed floors – usually polished wood or concrete – has become prominent in interiors, we know kilims provide added warmth and comfort, both underfoot and visually.
The Siggada legacy has come by way of Phil and Elly Smith (from Talk of Turkey) who were approaching retirement after 30 years in business. The Smiths happily agreed to let Siggada take over the kilim side of their business and will continue to mentor and share their inexhaustible knowledge with Siggada.
Lisa will share tales of these textiles, where they originate from, their symbols and other anecdotes. Experience a visit and have hours of enjoyment for many more years to come when you take an original piece away with you.
